Hmwk: Study for the SMRT 1-4 Test. We will start right at 9:00 with the Listening on Monday, so don't be late. You will have all the time until break to submit the test. It is worth 50 points in the Midterm section on engrade.

Hmwk: Finish your paragraph. See my example. Remember to use 3 vocab words that are bold and 3 modal verbs or phrases that are underlined. You need at least 6 sentences. Share with me when you finish. You will read your paragraph in class on Friday, and I will correct it after school.

Hmwk: Practice for the SMRT Test 1-4 Speaking Assignment. Go to ME and choose SPEAKING to see the questions.
If you would like to earn 5 extra credit points, you can record a YouTube video of your answers. To make a video, follow these directions. Submit your video on SMRT after you record it on YouTube.
If you don't record a video, I will listen to your answers on Friday at school.

Hmwk: Review for the quiz on Monday. You will have 45 minutes, and it is worth 25 points. It will be on paper.

Part A: Find the mistake with the verb and write the correct sentence. (5 points)

Part B: Decide if the underlined verb is full or auxiliary. (5 points)
Part C: Write a question for the missing word in the sentence: subject or object question. (5 points)
Part D: Circle the best vocabulary word for each sentence. (5 points)
Part E: Listening & Spelling. Write the sentence that you hear. Spell the vocab word correctly. (3 points)
Part F: Speaking. Read the sentence with the vocabulary word correctly. (2 points)

Hmwk: Complete your paragraph. See my example. Make a copy and write your paragraph underneath mine. Remember to use at least 6 sentences (topic, supporting, and concluding) with 3 be, do, or have verbs and 3 vocab from unit 1. Share with me when you finish. You will read your paragraph out loud in class tomorrow!

Syllabus
Hmwk: Complete the Vocabulary Exercise 1. Try every sentence! If you don't know, make a guess. If you have an empty sentence, you will lose a point. You won't lose any points if you try. Share with me when you finish. I will check to see if you tried in the morning before class.
We will correct the sentences in class in the morning. Fix your mistakes! If you don't have perfect answers after we correct the sentences together, then you will lose points for wrong answers.
Also, remember to get a lined notebook just for 120 class notes and freewriting! This is worth 5 extra credit points if you bring it to class tomorrow!
