Hmwk: Review grammar and vocabulary from units 5, 6, 7, & 8 for the SMRT Test on Monday. You will have the entire morning class, from 9:00 - 10:30 to take the Test. We will begin the listening right at 9:00, so come a little early to have your computer ready. The test will be worth 55 points on engrade.

Hmwk: Make your SMRT Test 5-8 Speaking Assignment video. Follow the directions on how to record your video on YouTube. To see the questions, go to ME and choose Speaking at the end of the units. If you make and submit your video before class on Friday, you can earn 5 extra credit points.

Hmwk: Review for the Quiz. You will have 45 minutes, and it is worth 25 points. It will be on paper.

Part A: Rewrite the sentence using present perfect. (5 points)

Part B: Write past simple or present perfect simple sentences depending on the time expression. (5 points)
Part C: Use the present perfect simple with put or take verb to explain the location of the object. (5 points)
Part D: Circle the best vocabulary word for each sentence. (5 points)
Part E: Listening & Spelling. Write the sentence that you hear. Spell the vocab word correctly. (3 points)
Part F: Speaking. Read the sentence with the vocabulary word correctly.

Hmwk: Finish your unit 7 essay. See my example. Remember to make 3 paragraphs: intro (3 points), body (5 points), and conclusion (2 points). Use a comma in one of your sentences and underline the sentence (2 points). You also need to use 3 vocab words (1 point each), and remember to change the color. Share with me when you finish.

Hmwk: Review for the quiz on Monday. It will be a group quiz. While you are taking the quiz together, I will be conferencing with students one by one in the hallway.

Part A: Circle the answer with the correct verb pattern (gerund, infinitive, verb + object + infinitive). (15 points)
Part B: Circle the vocabulary word that fits the sentence. (5 points)
Part C: Write the sentence you hear. Spell the vocab word correctly. (3 points)
Part D: Speaking: read the sentence and pronounce the vocab word correctly. (2 points)

We will have a special schedule on Monday since it will be the start of the second half of Spring Term.

Remember to bring your free reading book to class tomorrow. You can bring any book or magazine you like as long as it's written in English!

Hmwk: Review your grammar and vocabulary from unit 1, 2, 3, & 4 on SMRT. On Monday, we will take the SMRT test. We will start right at 9:00! Come to class early to turn on your computer so you will be reading for the test. The first part is Listening. We will do it together. After that, you have all of the time until break at 10:30 to finish the Grammar, Reading, and Writing sections.
